An ice maker can stop working for several different reasons. Ice makers receive water through a small water line that runs from the refrigerator to a water pipe, water filter, or a funnel.

Ice maker stopped working?

If your ice maker isn’t producing ice at all or is producing crescents or cubes that are smaller than usual, you probably have yourself a clog somewhere in the line.

Most of the time, there’s a problem with the waterlines or the bail wire that shuts off the ice maker. Another issue could be that you have a bad tap valve cutting the water supply to the appliance.

Ice Maker not making ice?

In most cases, you have an ice blockage problem. Ice blockage in the tubing is not allowing water to the generator. After that's checked out, we have to check the water inlet valves as they may suffer from similar problems. Last thing on the checklist is whether the water filter needs to be cleaned or swapped out.

Ice Maker Not Starting?

Most of the time, this is an easy diagnosis. It's almost certain that you have a failed motor assembly. Don't stress, we can fix that. However, It’s also possible for the ice maker arm to be stuck in an off position, simply needing to be released.

Ice Maker Leaking?

To make ice you need water, and that means we always have a possibility for a leak in your ice maker. When it comes to ice machines, most leaks usually don't come from the unit itself.
